Move information once, with a way to find missed updates.

A fictional association receives a training enquiry from an individual whose employer will pay. The attendee, billing organisation and existing membership contact may be different records. We design a CRM connection around those relationships so a convenient email match does not silently change the wrong person.

Decide which record owns the fact

We map identifiers and authoritative fields before choosing update direction. Your team decides whether a changed employer belongs on this enquiry, the person's current membership record or both after review. A corrected billing address should not be overwritten by an older form submission merely because it arrives later.

Keep uncertain matches visible

Acceptance can include an attendee changing organisations, a shared office email and a repeated request after the first response was interrupted. The agreed workflow needs a way for staff to inspect an unmatched or uncertain item, identify the intended record and resume safely. We assess repeat handling against the actual provider interface rather than promising that every retry is automatically safe.

Confirm the account and its permissions

Supported operations, account eligibility, access roles and provider limits shape what can be connected. If the organisation cannot use a suitable interface, a reviewed import or a smaller staff workflow may be more useful than an unrestricted automation promise. Your business retains ownership of accounts and spending decisions.

The handover identifies who can approve a field mapping, review failed updates and renew access. Bring a redacted enquiry and one organisation-change example. Where members also need to view their records, consider the separate member portal scope; the connector alone does not decide their access.
