Project preparation

Describe the stuck task rather than a long feature list.

A short example often gives a useful starting point for a website or software discussion.

Explain what happens today.

Choose an inquiry, order, approval, document or report. Identify who uses it, the tools involved and where someone repeats work or needs another explanation.

Describe a recognisable result.

For example, a customer can see job status, an approved order reaches accounting without repeated entry, or staff can find the current document.

Include constraints.

Note important dates, operating locations, existing vendors, records to preserve and the people approving the work.

Identify qualified review.

Your organisation and advisers approve business rules, information handling and professional requirements. Mark unknowns so they can be resolved before implementation.

Leave out credentials, private records and production exports. Send a short development inquiry or use the UK planning questions.
